Social Justice or Equal Justice?

Here we go again, there are many websites that talk about what the bible says about social justice, but if you look a little deep here is what you will realize. Many places on the web if you search will say it is government doling out the wealth of the majority to the lesser few. Many of the bible verses use are as follows-

Luke 10:30-37, Romans 12: 15 - 18, Romans 10: 12, Matthew 25: 31-46,

the problem is that all of the scripture that is referenced is all speaking of the personal scale, how I should treat the poor and needy and that we personally should have compassion, but in none of this does it include the government. This progressive idea has been a push for both democrats and republicans. All this is doing is killing jobs, industry, capitalism and freedom. We as a CHRISTIAN NATION need to stand up against the progressive push and speak the truth in the word.

you dont know my pain.

You don't know my pain.

You don't know my pain, I don't know yours.
My pain is real and shows on my face and how I move, yours is hidden in your smile and fluid motions. My face strains and congeals and writhes on display. Your face is bright and cheerful and pleasant. I limp a lot slumpping to the ground. You have a spring in your step and song on your tongue. How do you hid your pain so well. What is your focus when you are hurting. Mine is God and his promise to us, to delight in the Lord and he will give our desires. How do you get through the day? My pain will end when I see Him face to face. Will yours? Why am I so sure? The word of God is truth. There is no other way. Jesus is the way!

Dr. Rev. Merle J Plotner

On August 26 1933 Merle J.Plotner was born to Frank and Mabel (Whipple) Plotner. He was raised in a farm family in central Ohio area. He served in the military from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Germany for 18 months of his tour and named his tank Donna. He married Donna Marie Kunze Sunday June 17, 1956 at Chesterville Methodist Church by Rev. Harry T. Lambert. Merle became a Methodist pastor in 1962 also.. Him and Donna had 4 kids. Dad got his Doctor of Divinity degree at Methesco Theological School in Delaware Ohio in 1971 or 72. He was a great man of God and was friend to everyone he met. He died march 22, 1981 of a Non-ballooning aneurysm of the aorta. Just a few days before that he had driven himself to the Morrow County hospital then they transported him to a hospital in Columbus. That Sunday as we were getting ready for church got a call from the hospital saying he was getting worse and we should get down there right away. My sister Debbie and brother in law Mark were there due to dad going to the hospital so he drove. As we drove Mark noticed the odometer was about to turn to 77777 miles. When we got to the hospital they were already doing a heart massage on him. He was gone. I remember seeing everyone crying and my sister Deb coming out and telling me. I was kind of in shock. I just took this warning and the drive to Columbus as a chance to get out of church. Now my dad is gone?

I had just the week before told him I hated him. I had no chance to tell him I was sorry. I at that point wanted nothing but my father back. For days, weeks, months and years after became more and more upset that a God would ever let this happen to me. I ran farther and farther from God.
A few years later I had a friend that passed away. He was a good man and when I went to his funeral it was a celebration, not a humdrum thing. I started seeing people that had the true spirit of God in them. I started going back to church and one Sunday heard the preacher read in Romans 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

I began to realize that God was right there the whole time trying to lead me back to him. All I had to do was stop running away from him. My dad was a great example for me, things may have been different if he were here now, but my relationship with Father God is so much more than my earthly dad could have given me. And I, being a father, understand how important my relationship is with my kids but I want the relationship they have with Abba Father to be even stronger.

I am trying to be a better son to my Mom also, I get so caught up in all I am doing sometimes I don't call her or see her as often as I should. But God commands in Matthew 15:4 God says, `Honor your father and mother,' and`Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.' This is a serious command.

My Mom and Dad wouldn't really be considered radical people but for the Methodist denomination, my dad was pretty radical. He meant what he said and said what he meant. He was selfless and would do anything for anyone. I hope that some of the qualities my dad had have rubbed off on me. I know my dad felt called to the ministry, I thought at one time I was, but realize i am not much of an orator, but look at Moses, he didn't either. I am opened to what ever the Lord has for me...... Praying!

Here I am 45 and don't know what I should do when I grow up. All the people around my age in my life have either retired or are so well off they are spending money on things they really don't need or even want. We struggle for everything. I keep telling my kids that lacking for things is helping us grow and be stronger. I must be a full grown mature person by now!

Well, any ways, I do still miss this guy. He did so much for so many. I pray I can see him someday and bring as many people along with me as i can to meet him. We may be too busy being in awe worshiping Abba Father to notice him.....!? I can only imagine...

What other people say about Dad:

Chris Caldwell -

What I think is interesting about Grandpa (even though I never met the man) was when Grandma use to tell me after I moved in with her. She use to say that some mornings when she woke up she smelled coffee brewing. I don't drink coffee that much so I knew it wasn't from me, but I can say living in that house (even though Grandpa didn't live there) I could smell coffee brewing some of the mornings too. It's weird how our loved ones pass on to glory but somehow their traits and habits live on in us. I can't wait for the day I get to walk on the streets of gold with him and give him the biggest bear hug ever. And I know he will be ready to do the same with each one of us grandkids.

Charles Kunze, Sr. -
We definitely remember all the late nights we used to stay up playing cards and games.
I also remember our exciting road tour with your dad going from church to church down at Cadiz. Merle had to have someone riding with him or he would never have made it.
Also remember all the coffee drinking, he definitely loved his coffee.

Mary Lou his sister and I ran around together while in school. I remember Merle playing the accordion and his dad playing the juice harp and organ when I would go to their house. Really had some great times.

Ron Kunze -

He left a good job to go to school to become a minister even though he had a growing family to support and how it all worked out well for everyone.

Ron remembers when he would preach that when he would do the prayer, he would kneel beside the pulpit - very impressive.

Cindy (Poister) Huddle -

I do remember him kneeling at the altar or pulpit too ; I remember a particular childrens sermom he did when we must have been to one of his churches-- he had some kind of metal coverd dish with colored ribons representing Shadrack. Meshack, & Abendigo & fire-- but the ribons were not burned---
I remember well getting to go with you, Aunt Donna & Uncle Merle for Mike's wedding & Uncle Merle drove with a glass coke bottle behind his back for lumbar support--- I will never forget that trip-- I enjoyed it so much!---- also I remember several of us swimming--- I think at Candlewood lake's pool & he jumped off the diving board & his toupe' flopped up!!!---- I will always think alot of Uncle Merle!

Also, at our last reunion-- I remember talking with your Mom & was really impressed with her testimony of her & your dad getting together-- It really was a God thing-- how she had the dream that she was to be a pastors wife-- & hadn't even realized that God had called your Dad to preach yet--- It is fun to see God's handiwork!

depression

I know everyone goes through depressing times and situations, but what if you seem to be depressed all the time? I am so frustrated with my job, my relationships and my life in general. I have for about 20 years now worked a job that is stressful in an industry that is very demanding and intricate, always changing making it always hard to keep up with. But in the past we could afford at least one vacation per year. now we can't even do that. I am so sick of working my tail off and getting no where. I know it is my own fault for not finishing school when i had the chance, but that's when i got laid off and there was nothing to do... what a crappy ride so far. My kids are about the only thing on this earth that give me joy! They deserve so much more... I love you Sarah and Nattie and am so sorry for this! prayin for a change soon... very soon i hope!

A letter sent to the Mayor of Columbus Ohio

Mr Coleman,

I am very frustrated with the politics in this day in age that keeps us from enforcing the law as it stands. Yes, Border security is a federal matter, but the Constitution of the United States gives the right to State to uphold there own security measures when needed. I believe Arizona has every right to pass legislation like Senate bill 1070 for there own security needs. I wonder, have you read Arizona bill 1070? If not, you should, because in the bill, If a law enforcement official is found to have discriminated unlawfully, they:

G. A PERSON MAY BRING AN ACTION IN SUPERIOR COURT TO CHALLENGE ANY

OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL

SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE THAT ADOPTS OR IMPLEMENTS A POLICY THAT LIMITS OR

RESTRICTS THE ENFORCEMENT OF FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAWS TO LESS THAN THE FULL

EXTENT PERMITTED BY FEDERAL LAW. IF THERE IS A JUDICIAL FINDING THAT AN

ENTITY HAS VIOLATED THIS SECTION, THE COURT SHALL ORDER ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. THAT THE PERSON WHO BROUGHT THE ACTION RECOVER COURT COSTS AND

ATTORNEY FEES.

2. THAT THE ENTITY PAY A CIVIL PENALTY OF NOT LESS THAN ONE THOUSAND

DOLLARS AND NOT MORE THAN FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR EACH DAY THAT THE POLICY

HAS REMAINED IN EFFECT AFTER THE FILING OF AN ACTION PURSUANT TO THIS

SUBSECTION.

H. A COURT SHALL COLLECT THE CIVIL PENALTY PRESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION G

AND REMIT THE CIVIL PENALTY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR DEPOSIT IN

THE GANG AND IMMIGRATION INTELLIGENCE TEAM ENFORCEMENT MISSION FUND

ESTABLISHED BY SECTION 41-1724.

I. A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IS INDEMNIFIED BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT

OFFICER'S AGENCY AGAINST REASONABLE COSTS AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY

FEES, INCURRED BY THE OFFICER IN CONNECTION WITH ANY ACTION, SUIT OR

PROCEEDING BROUGHT PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION TO WHICH THE OFFICER MAY BE A

PARTY BY REASON OF THE OFFICER BEING OR HAVING BEEN A MEMBER OF THE LAW

ENFORCEMENT AGENCY, EXCEPT IN RELATION TO MATTERS IN WHICH THE OFFICER IS

ADJUDGED TO HAVE ACTED IN BAD FAITH.

J. THIS SECTION SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH

FEDERAL LAWS REGULATING IMMIGRATION, PROTECTING THE CIVIL RIGHTS OF ALL

PERSONS AND RESPECTING THE PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES OF UNITED STATES

CITIZENS.

I believe any law enforcement official faced with the option to discriminate in any way unlawfully will think twice knowing the consequences that await him or her if they are wrong.

Let's stop the politics and understand why they have to take these measures. Our government is broken and is not doing the ONE thing that is most important for them to do for us and that is protect us. When this happens every state has the right and responsibility to pick up where the feds dropped the ball.

It is my request that you read the bill and then make a public apology to the people of Arizona for your decision to boy-cot them. Because that is truly who you are hurting is the people, not the politicians making this decision.

Thank you for any attention in this matter! It is extremely important to the safety and security of this nation!

--
Tim Plotner

It is my hope that you too will write to the mayor and let him know your feelings concerning this matter!

Letter to the President-

Mr. Obama, The Tea-party has not really been against you. This is not about you, it is about what you want to do to the liberty of this nation. We don’t care who is in the office as long as they are not Fascist, Marxist, Communists or Socialist. We want anyone who has the values and morals of a Ronald Reagan, the understanding and selfless representation of a George Washington and a willingness to stick to what they know is best for this country like an Abraham Lincoln. All of these men were for less government and more individualism, liberty and capitalistic benefits. When we the people have more control, we have the right to make money, create businesses and give to those who are in need as we see fit.

As an example at capmag.com explained:

After the Asian Tsunami two years ago, the U.S. government pledged $900 million to tsunami relief. American individuals donated $2 billion -- three times what government gave -- in food, clothing, and cash. Private charities could barely keep up with the donations….. America is a uniquely charitable country. So when you hear that "Americans are cheap," just remember: We gave $260 billion in charity last year. That's almost $900 for every man, woman, and child.

Also as government gains more control people start to do strange things like this week it was reported about: Militia Accused of Plotting War on U.S. Gov't on foxnews.com (oops, I forgot, you hate them don’t you? .. Sorry) But when this starts to happen, the government will want to take over groups getting together and even including churches and religious organizations.

We as the big stupid no-bodies out here in middle earth are starting to wise up and most of us can see why our founders like John Adams and Benjamin Franklin wanted less government. This is why we are so passionate about government run anything.

In your interview with Matt Lauer you said we should not exaggerate what the other side is doing, but you have done nothing more than make fun of or mock what the Tea-party is all about and what they have said and done. You also said in the interview that you wish the Republican leadership would help by taking a different tone. What I don’t think you understand is that the Tea-party is not just Republicans, It also has many Democrats and Independents. And we do not take our marching orders from any politician!

I know it is hard for you in the Democratic far left to understand this because you surround yourself with people that believe as you do. But the Tea-party, as I see it, is full of free thinkers and don’t hold to one persons ideology. But we do hold to the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and most of us The Holy Bible. Why, because our country was founded and based off of the biblical principles.

I know this not because of what I hear other people say was there experience or what I read, I was in Washington DC on March 20, 2010 for the Tea-party rally in front of the Capitol and know that everyone around me was kind, respectful and peaceable. I also know the entire front of the Capitol area and both sides were saturated with people. The estimate for a full Capitol lawn is about 40,000, so I estimate with the overflow there was about 50,000 give or take a few. So I am sure that out of that many people there were a few less than friendly encounters. But you have to give it to the Tea-partiers. From what I understood from one of the organizers of the event, Nancy Pelosi specifically did not want to have extra trash cans or any portable toilets in the area just so it would make us look bad. As I was leaving the only place that I saw trash was overflowing from the trash cans. On the Capitol lawn, there was no trash.

So you can try all you want to mock us, you can try to stop us and you can walk through the crowd taunting us, but we will never stop fighting (peaceably and at the polls and rally’s) for the freedoms of this great nation!

I reserve the balance of my time Mr. President!

Child like faith, real questions..

I teach a children's church class at my church and we have been talking about Jesus and where he came from. I was explaining to them about how God the Father, son and spirit always existed where as we are finite and will eventually die. We got into a pretty good discussion about how did Jesus get from the heavens where God is to Mary's belly. I explained the best I could that Jesus always was as it says in John 1: 1- 18
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (15)
John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'"

This yet John was born first of them?
I explained that like John 3:16 says that God loves us so much that he gave his only son that whoever believe on him will not perish but have eternal life.

I love when they are asking questions cause it means they do care and it is effecting them. I sometimes wish I could do that full time!

Love those kids as if they were my own!

workaholics

I do not understand people who can work hours on end without a break or getting up from their chair at all. I dont like work at all. I guess Im kinda lazy. And ive noticed that I am less active too. Prob why I keep putting on weight im sure. Hopefully as it gets warmer i will start walking and moving again! Plus im afraid of teaching my kids to be lazy!

Social Justice

In my previous blog I mentioned that Glenn Beck has been warning for a while now about the progressives in political and religious aspects. Well now, because some people don't seem to really understand that the code word "social justice" is being used to push these progressive ideas, not just a way for individuals to reach out to there community, Glenn Beck is being attacked by some churches that may misunderstand the underlying meaning. This is truly important for us to understand due to it is becoming such a divisive and misunderstood topic.

No one is saying you should stop individually helping people and letting your inner person tell you when you need to give, or not, your choice. In the Bible God is not demanding you to give, but says if you do, it will be given back to you, in good measure, shaken together and running over. So it is a real good idea to do so, but it should be your free will, not a government mandate. That is why this health care thing is so evil. Our God lets us have free choice, but we then have to face the consequences. I wonder if some people are ok with the government takeovers because then they don't have to lift a finger. The problem is that we have greedy, corrupt and shifty politicians that will at every chance take your last dime if you let them. This reminds me of the story in the Bible about the widows mite, Jesus didn't say to Judas, awh, did you see that, she just gave her last two cents, dig into the money bag and give her our money? No, he commented on how that was true giving and said "this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them"..

I believe it is time for the government to leave the social justice to WE THE PEOPLE, and not themselves! They should be focusing more on fixing the unemployment problem, stop excessive spending and cut irresponsible programs!

Political arrogance, where is this headed?

Wow, can you believe the progressive politicians today? Barak Obama's tea party comments and saying he was told the health care bill meant Armageddon, and then looked around and saw that everything is ok. Nancy Pelosi and crew boastfully walking through the anti-health care protesters with a big gavel in hand. Alcee Hastings saying "The rules, we make them up as we go along." Al Sharpton saying America voted for socialism when they voted for Obama. And of course all the people in the Whitehouse saying how much they love Mao and Che’, and how they demand that we pay our taxes, but at least 20 of the Whitehouse administration have not paid their taxes... Gee, I am sure I could come up with hundreds of other examples.

GW Bush may have been a lot of things but not arrogant. I believe he was a humble man but the bipartisan left wanted nothing but to bring this man down any way they could. So they took advantage of his humility and (the media) made him look like an idiot. Though he never came out and said it often, when behind the scenes he was on his knees praying for this country, supported faith based organizations and actually went to church almost every Sunday. Obama has been to church about 3 times this year and under Jim Wallis, a huge progressive, is almost as bad a Jeremiah Wright.

Where is our George Washington or Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King Jr. today? We are in dire need of a Revolutionary, a peaceful revolutionary. We need someone who can stand up against this progressive arrogance with poise and grace yet a staunch, ferverancy.

We also need to keep the friends we have, Like Benjamin Netanyahu. And now it came out in an Israeli paper that he was treated horrible when visiting Mr. Obama. But now we have an agreement with Putin from Russia, and have said we will sit down with Iran's Ahmadinejad and with North Korea. This amazes me. We have thrown out our morals, our couth and our hospitality completely, Unless it is for the fascist dictators and despot rulers!

Believers (Christians) are being deceived in thinking that things like health care and distribution of wealth programs are just good socially just ideas. When all along they are tearing at the heart of what this country is all about, Freedom, liberty and less government! Why when we say these things today they seem so foreign to a growing yet small percentage of people? Glenn Beck is right, the progressives have been in this country for many year but just boiling under the surface and now they are starting to spew out in leadership and running things. These are people that used to think it was important to use force and violence but now want to slowly change things “progressively”.

We as true believers must be on our knees. It is so clear how we are rocketing towards the last days. Even none believers are talking about how these are signs of the times and how close we are to a global government. Do people understand the biblical ramifications of this? I don’t think , unfortunately, most do!

He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark of his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. [Revelation 13:16-17]
